I have a 2024 Hybrid 2WD and have wanted to install a leveling kit since I ordered the truck back in 2022 (yes, it took a year and a half to get here). I dismissed the idea after reading so many posts and comments about CV joint issues from leveling kits. I don’t see these much anymore these days so my question is whether this is still an issue? If I install a leveling kit, is it a sure thing I’ll experience this issue? Has it been fixed or maybe the community has just accepted it’s going to happen when installing these and don’t bother to mention it anymore?

A second question: What is the actual height needed for a completely level look…is it 1” or 1.5”?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I have a 22 XLT fx4 etc with Rough Country 1” front lift that I think gets it level. Other than being lazy to adjust the front lights, it looks better and drives the same. We’ll see what gets discovered in the future with wear and tear on anything.

I had a 24 Hybrid Lariat with the 1" Rough Country Level. No issues over 11 months, and it looked level with the rear. I have a 25 now and putting the same kit on it.

Keep in mind, the EcoBoost and Hybrid Mavericks have different CV axles. Supposely Ford has a newer part, but the 2022-2024 Hybrids all came from the factory with the same CV axles.

That’s very good to know…I guess now I have more reason to upgrade to a 2025 lol!

The redesigned half shafts can be installed much cheaper than ordering yet another truck. And if they go out under warranty, Ford will replace them with the upgraded parts, which are all that's available now.

See my other reply that I’ve had no issues, but lo and behold, at the dealer Saturday for an oil change, one of the shafts joints was leaking grease pretty bad. It’s under warranty, but I don’t think they know of the 1” inch lift (yet). I expect that to come up when they replace it when the parts come in.

Well, my 22 XLT fx4 has over 20k on it in two years of ownership. based on many other posts here, it may not be the fault of the 1" lift kit. There are many others with CV issues on the forum, most of which don't have a leveling kit. I'll post when the dealership does their thing to me...
thanks and nice ride!

I appreciate all the feedback. Good stuff. I guess I’ll just get the leveling kit and tires and deal with the CV issue when it comes.

does this mean PN SZ6Z-3B436-C is no longer available from Ford OEM?

2025s don't show any PN listed for axles, do we know them yet?

Need mine replaced, dealer didn't want to undertable some tremor axles for me but if the 2025 axles are better/equivalent to Tremor models Driver-side CV Axle: PZ6Z-3B437-A & Passenger-side CV Axle: PZ6Z-3B436-A then I'm good to just let them to a as-intended warranty repair using the 2025 axles?

Same for me. I have the Rough country 1” lift, and when at the dealership at about 20k miles, they showed the leaking boot etc on one side. It’s unclear to me that they replaced the shaft or just serviced the joint, boot etc. anyway, they did not point out the lift kit, nor did I. I still have the popping sounds at low speeds. I’ll be out of warranty soon, so I’ll see what they say and do when I bring it in soon.

Just an update.

After reading so many posts and information, I didn’t install the leveling kit, but I did install some BFG ATs (245/65R17), and they fit just fine with no rubbing at all. The half axles needed replacing anyway at 33k miles. The dealership replaced them under warranty as explained by other posts, and now I can comfortably install the leveling kit. So it all worked out.

50 ways to break your Maverick. You got #1 out of the way (oversized tires) and now you're moving on the #2 (lift kit).

I get that So Cal has serious terrain, but you have a strange idea of "comfort" in terms of installing a leveling kit.

Tremor or FX4 and keep it stock. Or just keep telling yourself "it all worked out" as you break Maverick every 20-30k.
