Custom Cali Raised Low Profile Bed Rack

I wanted a Raised Cali low profile bed rack but they don't make a T-slot one or even a kit for the Maverick for that matter. So I bought the parts to make one myself with custom T-slot brackets. Total cost was about $600 (~$400 if you didn't use the MOLLE side panels and top rails).

What is the intended use of this rack? Pics if you have them.

1. Aesthetics, I just like how it looks.

2. I take my dog to the park with her tied in the bed. With the side MOLLE panels I feel much better she can't jump out.

3. I'm going to get a root top tent in the future and do not what it to be much higher than the roof.

4. I also thought about installing a roof top cargo basket on it as another option if the need comes up.

Yup! Work smarter not harder..haha. It's also low enough to use as a grab handle to step into the bed, I'm only 5'6" tall.

I doubt you would be able to open the cover with the rack installed. Typically racks are used with either retractable or roll up covers.
