The wheels have started on my custom bed rail rack install. I had one on my previous F150 and really liked it.

Awesome looking truck there. How is the rail secured to the bed?

I guess you can get long rails and just cut them down to whatever width you want, maybe with a metal cutting blade on a miter saw? Do the endcaps come off so that you could put them back on to a fresh cut end?

P.S. did you do the 3rd brake light/bed light LED mod?

Each side has six stainless steel screws that you have to drill into the bed rail and use the included plus nut.

Yup, I'll get new rails, I had cut these down from my F150 to fit on our Grand Cherokee and thought they would be wide enough.... Guess not. I have to decide I'd I want silver or black. Yup, the end caps are removable.

Also yes to the third brake light LED's. They are super bright and had used the same Philips bulbs in the past. I pay a little extra but I've never had a set flicker or die.

I'll get some more pictures when I get my new rails.

Finished up the install. I just realized my cross bars are too short so I'll have to get new ones.

Not yet. I haven't really had the budget yet. But will be for this summer for the water toys.

Oh Cool! I was making some research and came accross good options for bed racks. Still making up my mind on what to choose or where to search. The more I search the more I want them all lol. We need a bigger budget lol.
