I'm curious about what kind of vehicle background this group is coming from. I want to know your current daily driver and the rest of your driveway placeholders, so let's list them off and compare! I'll kick it off:

1997 Chevy S10 4.3L 5 speed
2001 Chevy Blazer 4.3L 4x4 (in pieces)
2015 VW Golf TDI (recently sold)
2000 Honda Civic (blown head gasket...)

I don't get around much at the moment...

2002 Explorer XLS 4x4, my winter beater turned daily driver until I take the

2003 Mercury Marauder into Ford to figure out why it wont pass emissions. I also have a big project

1972 VW Super Beetle that seems like it'll never see the road again, yet I'm too stubborn to give up and sell it.

A new 2022, but probably 2023, Maverick would replace the Explorer, depending on finances and if the Explorer ever just dies on me. Then I would have a new, dependable winter car, that I could also use when the Marauder is down, that would also save me some gas money.

They're all sold, waiting for Maverick

2000 Subaru Legacy wagon, 263k miles. Since a deer crumpled one fender and door, my wife doesn’t want to drive it anymore.
2001 VW Cabrio, this one is going because I have pre-cancerous skin and my convertible days are over.
2017 Subaru Impreza hatch. We’re retired and only need one car, but the Impreza can’t haul all my project supplies (the old Legacy could handle 95% of them). This would be traded on the Maverick.

wasn't that the last year before they shrunk them down and ruined it? Last production year GM finally worked out all the problems and got Consumer Reports positive rating. I wanted 1 with V8, but couldn't find 1, so bought my Grand Cherokee instead.

My daily is a 2021 Subaru Legacy
I also have a 2013 Toyota Van
My wife drives a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek
I also own a 2007 Subaru Outback that my college age son drives

For fun I also own a few motorcycles. They are all custom, so they kind of defy make/model designations (except the Yamaha) so I attached photos

2013 Volvo S60 T5. Bought used in 2015, the Ford dealers in my side of the city are dicks.
Either 'had to ride along' for test drive or gave insulting trade in for my Lincoln LS.

Will probably go back to a Ford or Lincoln down the road, but it will be in a couple to a few years.
