After being a spectator for quite some time researching this model- I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered an EB Lariat AWD on Friday (3/13). My salesman was rather confident that the truck should be delivered in roughly 8-10 weeks. I have searched threads and other articles and have not found any recent information about current build times. I have not received any additional information via email regarding my order besides the “order received” letter.

If anybody has any recent information or experience with the current wait times, I’d appreciate your input.

Thanks for having me.

The biggest factor now that production has caught up is shipping time. If it goes by rail which is typical, it will be 3-4 weeks just for that part. Scheduling on the front end is the second big variable. If you got the order in before April production is scheduled, that will help. Production of the truck itself is only about a day. SIBL is a separate queue which adds a few days.

8-10 weeks could happen if everything goes smoothly. But I wouldn't do anything drastic like selling current vehicle based on a promised delivery date.

I ordered mine in December, and was told they should start construction around the first week of March. That’s exactly what happened, and it shipped last week. I’m still waiting to hear when I will pick it up. What I’ve seen on Reddit threads is that it’s about three weeks from when they start to build. I’m hoping to have mine within the week. I will update you when I get it.

I just heard back from Ford… I should have it between the 27th and April 2. I’m upgrading from a lariat, gasoline 2 Wheel Dr. to another lariat, hybrid all-wheel-drive with the 4K tow package and a whole lot of other stuff, I’m gonna be one happy camper when I get my new truck!

New Lariat EB yay! What color?

Forum member Tim Bartz works at a Ford Dealer and does a weekly “scheduling” YouTube video every Tuesday…I’ll link it later today for your info.

Retail orders for the Maverick are already scheduled through the end of May. New retail orders are now being scheduled starting production in early June. This is the start of “Job 2”.

Unless your dealer has a Maverick already scheduled for their stock (and is now reserving it for you) it will be 8-10 weeks before your new baby enters the production line…for delivery by the Fourth of July or so.

Great insight. Thank you for explaining parts of the process.

Glad to hear that yours is pretty close to what was projected, that’s exciting! Sounds like a well laid-out truck.

That’s interesting. I received it in email form immediately when the order was placed while still sitting at the dealership.

I chose Oxford White- it’s a basic color for a Lariat, but my other white vehicles do great with hiding scratches and looks stunning when clean. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the Space White, it drifted too close to the gray color family for my liking.

Thank you for sharing that info, I subscribed to his channel on YouTube and watched the most recent (3/12) update video, very helpful and informative!

I will check with my dealer and see if they made my order as a stock order that they had previously scheduled.

I just emailed my guy to ask about it. Hopefully, he actually submitted the order!

I have ordered my last three vehicles and figured I would order a Maverick. When I started looking around, I found there were a lot of them to choose from on lots. The Maverick doesn't really have a lot of options to choose on a Lariat (compared to an F150) and I was fortunate enough to find almost exactly what I built online in stock at a dealer I normally work with. It was a 25, so there was an additional $2k in rebates which made it a no-brainer.

Here is today’s scheduling info from Forum member Tim Bartz:

Based on his comments- it seems like there may not be a ton of retail orders, which could put my order ahead of some stock orders as long as my dealer still has allocations. Let’s hope that’s the case and that the 8-10 week guesstimate holds true🤞.

Thank you for sharing the link.
