Crutchfield finally has the Maverick! New component speakers come with a tweeter and crossover. i watched all the you tube videos. If i want to replace door speaker and tweeters....how do you wire the crossover? i see you can mount it in the door. where do you attach crossover to tweeters? looks beyond difficult to run new wires from crossover to the tweeters. do i need to install the crossover? i plan to also add a 5 channel amp and a subwoofer. just very confused. thanks

The wiring for the tweeters comes directly from the head unit (acm). You would need to run new wires from the doór to the tweeters if you wanted to use the component system's crossover. I opted not to use the crossover. It sounds góod. Ford must be doing something to cross over the signals. When I install a DSP amp and subwoofer l am looking at a custom loopback plug and loom.

I ordered speakers, powered sub and a kicker key amp last night. I am not planning on installing the crossovers. I have read the kicker key is good at balancing all the speakers. I am currently speaking to Gus

If you're using the Kicker Key in Bi-Amp mode you don't need an external crossover because the Key detects tweeters/woofers automatically and tunes the frequency limits.
