Cracked windshield

It’s happening to Broncos too. I know a guy who had his second windshield already and it’s cracked. They are mostly in passenger side bottom right it seems for both trucks

Just found cracks, lower passenger side in my acoustic windshield this morning. Going to take it to the dealer tomorrow.

Thats where mine is , still waiting on the shield also.

Today I joined the random cracked windshield club. 30F outside so heat was on, going 55mph with no one in front of me. Loud pop and this is my passenger side.

I’m a bit confused if It had been damaged by a previous rock, or if the internal pressure popped out to the surface. It doesn’t look like a typical impact mark.

I’ve called the dealer and I’m bringing it in for them to have a look.

I was thinking the just opposite. It looks like it started down below the hood line to me.

Look at this this looks like impacts then spidered from there. Just sayingine was clean crack ....and still waiting for a windshield also

Dealer suspects impact, and suggested an auto glass company that does their replacements. I’ll get their opinion and a quote. Might not fix it unless the crack propogates to the drive side.

Another fun fact from the dealer…I have a recall because the factory might have drilled holes in my gas tank.

Just noticed this black line on my 2 day old Lariat windshield. Is this a crack? Goes through the word Sound on the logo.

My 3-week old Maverick has had some bad luck...

This past Monday there was a thin 2-foot pipe sticking out of the ground and the camera or sensor didn't see it. Dealer said this is on backorder and no eta on when the bumper would arrive. He quoted just under $900


Yesterday, what looked like a golf ball size rock hit my windshield... I called the dealer they said $580 for the windshield but they use a 3rd party to order and install it. Insurance said to call Safelite or a company like that and have them bill insurance. They said usually I won't have to pay anything. Looking into this now. I want to make sure I get the acoustic windshield that came with the lariat

Well was sitting at the bank and heard a loud crack....my FE lariat windshield just cracked for no reason cracked . Was near my dealer , thought I was gonna get a fight . Nope under warranty issue they said. Now will be the availability. A tech Manger and myself check the whole window with flashlight and paper behind the window to see if any rocks or something caused it but found nothing . Glad this will be under warranty just sucks though . Minor thing I will just have to have the new one get the sunscreen tint re done.

Man, all that rain looks sooooooo good. I am sick of being in the "Exceptional Drought" zone On topic, it appears there is either a defect in the truck body surrounding the windshield, or the manufacturing of the windshield itself that is causing so many to crack.

Haha I am in southern California. That picture was in Malibu. It only rained that one day. Hasn't rained since.
