It is on your order sheet or build sheet (correct terminology?), at the top just under Dealership Name. At least that is what I'm looking at.

Refer to this new thread:
Got my order in this morning to covert my 2022 leftover from January. The sales person and I both failed to notice it had accidentally been entered in as an AWD but thats ok. I was considering that anyway. Told them to leave it on, might come in handy over the winter. They did put my leftover order in as a priority 10 as they were supposed to. See what happens for try #2. Got the confirmation Email from Ford soon after.

I got my email confirmation from Ford yesterday and a signed preview order today. I provided a copy of my license at the time of order entry. No deposit and we have an agreement for MSRP plus dealer fee. This is a reputable dealer but if they play shenanigans at delivery, I walk.

The dealer bulletin Ford put out a couple of days ago said COVP/ROVP is encouraged but not required for the 23s.
I'd like some confirmation on that. Everything I've heard so far has been COVP approval is still a thing, and without it, your truck isn't getting built. It's the only thing keeping dealers honest and from submitting STOCK orders as RETAIL orders. (and the threat from Ford to reduce allocations which hurts the customer as much if not more than the dealer).

I would ask the dealer to email you a copy along with the COVP approval (They may not have that yet) or plan on going in soon (very soon) to get it along with a signed buyers order. Order banks are closing in days (yes days), so make sure your order is in. (COVP can come later, but the order needs to be in).

If I received the official Ford Confirmation email with my name on it, doesn't that mean that my order is In?

It means an order was submitted, but not necessarily what you wanted. The order summary will list all your options. I would also get a signed buyers order listing the OTD price (less any government fees - Tax, title, license) so there are no surprises a year from now when you actually take delivery.

That's new. Last year it just gave the trim I believe.

What exactly does that mean? What does COVP/ROVP show or provide that it can be optional?

But this does mean that my order is actually placed right? So, I shouldn't necessarily have to do anything else but wait now?

If you trust the dealer and/or they have a good reputation. Otherwise I would press for a signed buyers order as I said before and COVP status.

COVP is Fords way of verifying you are a real customer and that dealer didn't just make up a name to complete an order. The dealer needs to send a copy of your driver's license that matches the name on the order. Until that is complete and approved your order will sit in purgatory and never be scheduled.
