Mods - might have posted to wrong place.
I have an XLT with rear sliding window. Questions I have are:
1. can one simply buy a junk yard rear window (powered slider) and does the XLT wiring on that inside back wall have a plug in slot for the powered rear window?
2. How hard else expensive is it to change out the rear window with myself or have a dealer do it?
3. Is there a place on the dash of the XLT to add/install the rear window button to open/close and likewise it there a plug already in the front wiring to plug in the switch?

I have yet to open the rear slider since it is manual and just not worth the effort it seems to me...plus it is summer and darn hot in Florida right now.
Thank you

Seems ridiculously complex for next to no benefit.

If the stock wiring has plug slots front and back then it is just a question of cost for a used rear window with power slider at a junk yard then pay to have the window changed out I would think. Over the life of owning the truck I feel the cost would be worth it but that is just me and what I would want.

Yes, in retro spec maybe Lariat 2022/2023 would have been the way to go once all in. I did happen to get I think $2,750 back from Ford since it took about two years to build my 2022...actually 2023 since it was rolled over. Thus I can live with no power rear window if I must. Heck when it gets cool down here again I can open it and see what it feels like. Too dam hot to even want to do that presently. I am enjoying my maverick and now don't even mind the old school cruise control (not acc).

Anybody done this yet. It’s the only think I don’t like about my Maverick. I tend to think it can be done without replacing the rear window or at least with just replacing the slide small center segment. A factory service manual would help.

No you'll need the full power sliding rear window which is a full replacement along with the wiring from the window motor that mounts below the window behind the rear seat to the switch that mounts below the HVAC controls and power to the switch from the BCM.

IIRC the manual sliding window already has the anchor points for the regulator cable. So just need to remove or otherwise block open the latch. Electrically there isn't anything wild going on, either. OEM utilizes a three position momentary switch triggering one of a pair of relays for either polarity, but a higher current DPDT switch could work without relays. The BCM doesn't have any meaningful interaction; it's a plain analog circuit.

Edit: Found the thread where @Earl313 converted it https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/lxt-now-with-power-rear-window-under-100-00.44790/
