"The vehicles are ranked in order of their predicted reliability score, and all are recommended by CR. That means they scored well in our road tests, which comprise more than 50 objective and subjective evaluations."

Hopefully not a dupe.

Still in high demand and short supply years after its launch, the Ford Maverick also continues to rack up its fair share of accolades at the same time. In fact, Consumer Reports recently named the Maverick as one of its top 10 recommended cheap cars currently on the market, while the hybrid model, specifically, was also tabbed as that organization’s most satisfying pickup and one of the very best vehicles for sale with a price tag of less than $35k. Now, that praise continues, as the Ford Maverick EcoBoost has landed on Consumer Reports‘ list of the most reliable new vehicles priced under $30k, too.

From following this forum I have been apprehensive about my order and then my purchase in regards to Maverick reliability. People have said that forums will highlight the problems and make you worry. I guess this is true as l have been expecting CR to change their recommended rating and they have not. So far, everything with mine is as I expect and no disappointments. I feel I actually have a long way to go before I know the reliability is for real. I am more and more optimistic as time goes on.

Well it got 15th out of 15.

Last.

And since there are ONLY 15 vehicles under 30k now, I wouldn't exactly be telling your friends about this little statistic.
😐
I've gone through a lot of vehicles and it's all subjective. I really don't give a huge weight to their lists. I'm still very happy with my Lariat.

Ya.

Doesn't CR stand for commercial report? It's just a form of commerical, right?

I’ve had my 2022 Maverick since 1/31/22 and so far it’s been pretty reliable. I have only had the air bag recall done and sometimes the infotainment screen does freeze up.

I have one more full year on my lease and with resale prices and new vehicle prices I will be looking to buy the truck outright or finance the remaining 20.5K balance if rates somehow drop in a year.
