Out of curiosity, when you're not getting audio from your iPhone, if you switch over to radio, do you get any audio?
- If I try to switch over to radio, then nothing still comes out. Usually thats when I get stuck with the "Audio Off" situation.

I have done the reset multiple times and have also checked for updates and so far, it says it is up to date with the latest software/firmware/etc.

I am hoping I can take some videos of the issue between now and my appt, so they can at least understand what I am looking at instead of trying to replicate without success
Yeah, sounds like the Sync 3 APIM is not getting a response from the ACM. Probably a hardware issue. Sounds like you've already tried all the other standard troubleshooting steps.

When you hold down the power and track forward buttons, does that work every time to restore audio or is it also only sometimes effective?

One thing you could try if you wanted to is to disconnect the 12V battery and wait a half hour before reconnecting it (hybrid 12V battery is under the rear seat).

Right. For the most part when I do the Power and Track Forward buttons, it will fix it

There have been a whole lot of these threads and @FordMotorCompany has jumped into many of them without resolve. The stereo is the worst part of my experience with the Maverick and I’m not even talking about the poor quality speakers. The head unit cannot make up its mind of where the signal is suppose to come from. My 2013 Volvo had a better and more reliable stereo/Bluetooth connection. There are a lot of suggestions that I’ve read on this forum I’ve not read a single solution or outcome to the continued issues. My software is up to date. My phone cable is brand new and straight from Apple. My phone is up to date. And the only reliable source of input is either the standard radio or the flash drive from 2006 that’s holding 200 MP3’s on it.

spot on. Today, I was driving for about 4 hours on a trip. I stopped at a gas station to get fuel and when I went to turn back on the truck, I gave it a minute to see if the infotainment system would recognize my cable/iPhone. It did not. I unplugged and plugged back in with the USB cord, then swapped the cord out with a USB-C cord in the other port, still nothing. The unit simply did not recognize anything was plugged in. I went to source and no CarPlay was available or showing up. Only radio and Bluetooth. While the radio audio worked, I ended up having to reset the unit with the power and forward button before it recognized I had my phone plugged in and CarPlay was working again. Very annoying.

The Ford Motor Company account suggested I just schedule an appt at the local dealership. So now I have an appt about a month out. I'm not super confident they will be able to resolve it.
Seen many people have the same experience as you did with them. That is all that account does. They give people false hope that they will help, but they do not. They still make you do the work.

In my 2016 Escape, I installed sync 3.
I had similar issues but they are mostly gone now after I installed the wireless dongle. I’m interested in seeing what Ford does for wired connectivity issues. Maybe it’s just a software conflict with the phone.

I used to have a similar issue with another car and it ended being dust in the lighting port of the iPhone. Cleaned it out with a needle and no issues since.

I brought this up to the Ford engineer when I met with him. Let him verify my Android SW, Maverick radio SW, and cable. He said it all should work, but also that I wasn't the only one reporting issues.

They are aware. It's part of the reason they are doing away with the radio in the refresh. New radio will also displace the cubby.

If Ford is really clever, they will offer it as a modular upgrade for the older trucks. It is marketed to the DIY crowd after all.

I’d like to see how that works and the price.
