Hey quick question,

I know since I'm still unscheduled I can still change my color. But will changing the color change my price protection?

I been seeing alot of Mavericks lately and Cactus Grey is starting to lose its charm with me. So I been thinking about switching to Atlas Blue instead.

Since I'm not scheduled yet will changing the color mess with anything?

I was one of the people that had to wait a year to get there Mav. I didn't add anything I dropped everything that I could that I could buy after market. I did this because at that time anything on your truck will slow down delivery. To answer your question all my dropping didn't change my price protection. However I had an honest dealer... Good luck!

If it's possible to change it, I would think it would cost extra if it's a premium color.

I changed from Area51 to Alto Blue 45 days before built and only difference was premium paint pricing. Still honored pricing

Supposedly according to Tim Bartz only changing body code affects price protection. So changing trim level or adding/removing Tremor.

Far too many dealers are totally dishonest bastards and will upcharge you for anything and everything they can. To answer your question though, at Ford corporate level, NO, a color change won't change your price protection. A premium price color will change the MSRP, but not the price protection. Changing the drivetrain changes the basic order but color, trim level, and accessory changes are OK.
