Confused as ever

Mav Xlt on order for over 14 month. Received a build date back in August for the Third week of October. Guess what did not happen. Now looks like moving to a 23 model. This sucks because I want velocity blue. Not going to happen

first custom order in 40 Plus years buying vehicles. Been a ford owner for over 30 years. Don’t ask me for a positive review. Not going to happen

I'm not completely sure but your dealer may have needed to do something to convert it to a 2023. You should investigate here or call your dealer, maybe watch some of Tim Bartz videos.

It IS confusing. It's up to us to keep on top of this weird situation. Get with your salesman/ dealer to find out your status and priority. He needs to do some things to get you on track. (Perhaps you already are) Call Ford customer service to double check.

Dealer is converting to a 23 but that is not the point. I have seen people on the forum who ordered the same basic configuration after I did and have had the truck for months

I share your sentiments. I wanted velocity blue. I went to go test out the santa cruz after finding out getting a VB Mav wasn't going to happen and I almost bought one but found out it has a DCT. I had a previous hyundai with a dct and it had problems (hyundai warrantied it and I got a loaner but still). So I ended up keeping my order and changing it to Area 51 for MY23.

Now what gets me recently is I got the email on 11/03 for a 12/19 build date but people on 11/10 are getting build dates a week earlier than I am, some of them are brand new orders.

The Atlas Blue is fairly close.

Its 2-3 shades darker than the Velocity blue. Alto blue is even worse, its almost a dark grey blue mix. I wanted a light blue color Texas is hot.

Atlas Blue isn't that much darker than VB. Never got why people got up in arms about it.

I saw both side to side in real life it is noticeably darker. I also just really like the velocity blue. I think you would be mad if that’s the color you really wanted and wait 1+ years for it and never get it.

Yeah not much. I actually switched my 23 to Atlas Blue because I think it looks better.

I was in the USAF back in the day and chose Velocity Blue as a reminder of that service because it was the closest to Air Force Blue. Ford took that away from me.
