Recently replaced 2022 Maverick HEV with a 2026 AWD version (build date 3/2/2026), both at Lariat trim level. Compared to the last vehicle, I found some interior features have much degraded. Just wondering if other owners have had similar experiences, or maybe I just got a defective control module?

1- One-touch window control went from all four windows in 2022 to driver's only in 2026, and only to lower it. You still have to hold the switch in order to close. Is it the same for you?

2- Seat belt warning at each key-on (for about 60 seconds) and the speed limit sign can't be disabled on cluster display, despite suggestions in owner's manual there is a way to do so in center LED screen.

3- In 2022, one could select cluster display content such as trip information, fuel economy and tire pressure, etc. and the system would remember the setting at next trip. In 2026, one has to go down 2 manual layers to activate "my view", and that is only for the current trip, next time you will have to enable "my view" again.

Please reply if you felt the same annoyance and (perhaps) disappointment. Thanks.

This is my first maverick but every other car I’ve owned that had power windows had one touch down and up!? I guess it saves a little bit so they do it, cash over quality sometimes.

Your controls are working as designed.

1. Yep. "Decontenting" is unfortunately a thing.

2. Yep. You can do what I did - there was a tip here somewhere - and insert dummy latches into the three rear seating positions (or just buckle the belts), and buckle your drivers seat belt (and the front passenger belt, if someone is there) before you start the vehicle. No more seat belt minder. This is because the rear seats don't have occupancy sensors so it "minds" you about the rear seats whether or not anyone is there. Else you just have to click the "OK" button on the right side of the wheel.

My rear seat is covered by a dog platform thing (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C93QVJZX) all the time so it was a no brainer.

3. On my '26 Lariat, whatever MyView I have selected (usually the EV coach) comes back up each time I start driving. I don't recall having to choose a setting for it to come up each time but I fiddled with the controls a lot the first days I had the truck.

You've listed many of the reasons why I would rather keep my 2022 Lariat, than fork over a chunk of money on a 2026. New isn't always better. Nevertheless, I wish you many years of safe and happy miles in your new Maverick.

I had a '25 Lariat and got used to the one touch up and down for all the windows and was pretty bummed when the '26 only has the one touch down on driver left. I did notice as I was hard wiring my dash cam and Homelink mirror that a couple more of the fuses in the fuse box are unused and they ended up being for the "door modules" or something like that which are no longer on the truck and I assume were for the one touch.

The seatbelt warning screen I find highly annoying and was the same on the '25. I was able to get rid of it with Forescan on the '25. Haven't tried on the new one yet. I did use the "send feedback" feature to tell Ford how annoying that screen was and why does it continue to stay on for so long and that they should do a software update to fix it, yeah right...

I would like to send Ford some customer feedback. How did you tell Ford what you like/dislike?

I also have a 2022 early hybrid Lariat with the lux package, and co pilot 360 (which you had to order with the lux package) should of been called 180, only does the rear of truck, it seems many features were dropped in some of the later models, that were standard earlier. (hybrid motor, door pad, owners manual). lux package lost wi-fi, heated wipers, spay in bed liner, maybe other things. Newer trucks got a better 12V battery, larger screen, and 4 wheel drive hybrid option. I am happy with what I bought for the price I paid, and newer is not always better.

From the main screen click on "Features" on the right hand side the button is under the "Settings" button and above the "Apps" button.

On the screen that comes up hit the "Record Feedback" button, then hit the "Record" button and say what you want to say and then hit the "Send" button.

I had made a short video clip showing how to do it but it was too large to upload.

Same configuration here. Spot on observations. Yeah, I was always a little confused with the 360 designation when it more accurately only gives you rear visual. Of course, the newer Mavs, 2025, have real 360 with cams in the front and mirrors. Waiting for a 3rd party vendor to come up with aftermarket front & mirror cams. There is one company, but they only make it for the Ranger last time I checked.

I've got the full 360 and it would be great if you could save the video from that as a sort of 360 dash cam. My wife's 2025 Mini can do this for 1-2 mins of video.

Not to be that guy but - how do we know it can't do that, for example, if an accident occurs? It's all closed source firmware in there, after all.

Hahahaha, we’ve been doing that since 2022 They rarely, occasionally fix things
If it is cost effective.

Was NO Infotainment screen bullshit on the dash.
