1: I recently installed paddle shifters from a bronco sport, allowing me limited control over the gearbox. Will the transmission tune play nicely with this modification, or will the lack of second gear be evident when attempting to manually select it?
I don't remember if he has an accessport or SCT device, but @Vtec87pr1 definitely has some kind of transmission tune and he is the OG paddle shifter guy, so I'm sure he can provide some input.

@COBB Tuning Thanks for being available to answer questions in this thread! I have a couple of my own before I pull the trigger on an AP.

1: I recently installed paddle shifters from a bronco sport, allowing me limited control over the gearbox. Will the transmission tune play nicely with this modification, or will the lack of second gear be evident when attempting to manually select it?

2: My Maverick gets absolutely terrible fuel economy no matter how gently I drive it - I’ve tried eco mode, cruise control at 1mph increments in order to get to speed, high PSI in my tires, and ethanol free fuel, all netting lower than 20mpg combined on average. I’m hoping that a proper tune will improve efficiency, and previous cars I’ve run Cobb tunes on did actually benefit in this regard. Have you noticed any improvement or change to fuel economy with any of your tunes on the 2.0 ecoboost?

Thanks again for your help!

We can tune the paddle shifters in with the accessport.

Fuel economy shouldnt be worse if anything better but depends on fuel quality and how its driven!

Thank you

I heard that Cobb has the tune for the paddle shifters so they stay on manual mode truly. But this trucks 1 st to 3rd its almost a gear it's weird with the paddle shifters done normal way. Maybe with the Cobb tinner it's diffrent . I have the Cobb tuner and tried a map that you have to put it on Low so it's truly manual mode. One day if Cobb offers that free map I can tell you if it works or not.

There is a nice sale going on for a few more days at COBB Tuning, which includes a rebate that basically makes the Maverick Accessport 25% off, or $462. Grab it while you can.

I installed mine a week ago, and while the extra power is nice, the transmission tuning is vastly improved and the Auto Start/Stop cancel is a godsend. So much more enjoyable to drive.

@COBB Tuning, I had the Auto Start/Stop flip back on Sunday. I discovered it when I went out for a drive, and when I returned I connected the Accessport to find the setting had flipped back to 1. I reset it back to 0. Have you seen this bug happen with others? Thank you.

Both Auto/Start Stop disable and Dynamic Pedal are doing this for different models. Cobb is working on a fix. I have spoken to them. I have had it happen if I let the truck sit for while without driving. A couple of days.

It is frustrating, but not enough for me to regret my purchase. I just disabled ASS with ForScan. I check the Dynamic Pedal occasionally. It works so much more smoothly than something like a Pedal Commander that I stick with using it.

Thank you for the insight. I'm not a Forscan user, but considering learning. Is there an easy place to start?

My ASS kept turning on, so I also went with the FORSCAN option. There is the ability to turn off ASS in the map itself, but I haven't tried it.

I have an FX4 Mav.
I was reading about the OTS tunes and it seems they respond differently depending if the car in "Normal" or "Sport" mode. Will the tune load these modes into my car or do I have to unlock them to take advantage?

In the map means what?
