Hey all! Kind of a dumb question from a truck owning newbie...

How do you clean tough-to-remove spots off of the spray in bed liner?

I have a few white splotches I think came from hauling some construction materials to the dump.

I spent 10 minutes scrubbing them with soapy water and a stiff-bristled brush. Didn't even phase 'em.

Any other cleaners I should try? Or is some kind of bed liner touch up paint in order.

I wouldn't care so much but this is hopefully a bridge truck until my 23, well, likely 24, comes in. So I'd like to get it looking great for eventual resale.

Thanks!

Did you try pressure washing it?
I probably wouldn't do that. Unless the pressure is low enough to use on the whole painted truck. Pressure above x will do real damage.

used a electric pressure washer on my Rino lined running boards for 12yrs now. the texture likes to trap the crap.
I have used electric dishwasher detergent a couple times. 1/8 cup in a quart spray bottle, spray, soak, pressure wash, pop a cold one.

I haven't yet. Could be an option.
Set your nozzle to a wide setting, spray a degreaser on the spots and let it sit ten minutes out of the sun. Agitate with a brush and pressure wash. Repeat if needed. You won’t hurt it.

Yep, I only use a cheap electric pressure washer that does not exceed 1800 PSI with a 40 degree nozzle minimum. Always best to get that heavy layer of crapola off before using the loofah. :) Easiest way to clean WeatherTech mats too.

Never ever use a gas powered pressure washer unless you can reduce the pressure down to below 2000 PSI.

I'm a pretty clean person, and pride myself on not having water spots... but the bed liner is not one of those places. Tonneau cover for the win and it pains me to say it because I find it annoying when people go "treat it like a truck", but the truck bed liner is there to take some abuse and likes a little BDSM... oblige it. Broom to get debris out and spray it off at the wash bay every so often. Never hurts to add a mat or a moving blanket for some loads etc etc... not saying to throw sharp steel at it as hard as you can, but you can lol. Just be careful removing things from the bed. I pulled my jack out of the bed the other day and it fell right into that part that doesn't have the bed liner on the tailgate at the bottom. Was a "doh" move. I may spray that with my own rattle can liner job to avoid it in the future.

Try dawn power wash, not regular dawn and maybe a wire brush. It’s pretty thick material.
