Charging System Service Now

Recieved the attached message a few times last week. Maverick has been in the shop since Friday. Just got a call from the dealer stating that there is a wiring problem.

No ETA on when I'll get my truck back.

Currently have a 22 Escape rental with 10000 miles, on Ford's dime. If the Escape is any indication as to how my Maverick will drive in 4k miles, might be trading her in.

There was a forum thread here a while ago about a bad solder joint at one of the battery cables?

UPDATE:

The dealership called yesterday and stated that they will be replacing the Alternator and wiring. Unfortunately, the alternator is back ordered until May 6th.

Interesting, mine has had this issue forever, finally took it in, they have had for two weeks, even with the TSB, they couldn’t figure it out! They have reached out to Ford tech support to help them?!? Gosh knows how long if ever this will get fixed. This is good to know… it was thought to be the harness c1050 but they say nothing wrong with that? More saga on this to come… my auto stop/start doesn’t work either.

I had this happen to my 2022 eco mav last year,the charging warning message was coming on and off,brought it into my ford dealer multipe times,and on the 3rd try ford tech line told them to put a new alternator in it and it has never come back on in 22,xxx miles now....

an update after 2 weeks waiting for a diagnosis, Fajardo Ford informed me that they gona change the alternator
