Hey all,

I got my email from Ford with my estimated build date and had some questions both generic and about Chapman Ford.

Chapman Ford:
1) When do they send estimated arrival dates to their dealership? I am from CT and am picking it up in Philly and was curious. I need to let my work know and my wife has to try to take work off as well. Hoping there is a decent time to set it up, but, curious what others have gone through.

2) Do they match the Flood Ford or others extended care by chance?

Good to hear! Hopefully that will make planning to go get it easier for my wife and I!

Understandable. If I can get at a good price with my loan, I don't mind. The last one I got saved me over $1K in repairs. I don't mind paying fair price for peace of mind.

The one I am waiting for is later than the estimate but I put that on Ford.

I know Flood and Grainger both are the lowest. I was just curious if anyone knew if Chapman would match their prices. If I get a warranty, I'd rather it be part of my loan

Could always try printing the quotes and offering Chapman the opportunity to get as close as they can.

I think the quotes are good for several days so if Chapman can't be competitive there, you can still buy the warranty separately after you take delivery.

my apologies, when I bought my MY 22 Ranger, my local dealer matched Grainger's price after I showed the the quote.

Ask them to price match, all they can do is say no.

Yeah, if I was you, I wouldn't buy insurance for liability, collision or comprehensive either... because you live in rarified air... the some of the rest of us are taking the bet that we don't have to make use of any of those bets. I'll buy one for 8 or 10 years, cuz that's what I hope me and the Mav make it to. We'll see what6 else is out there then. Some days it is not about IF you are lucky, it is if those around you are.

That is definitely the plan. Worse they can say is no. Just wanting to be prepared and get all the info I can doing into the dealer whenever the vehicle is ready.

Thanks for your insight!

LOL, I know right? I was babysitting a two and a four year old grandkids while trying to text. Hit send w/o proof reading. In a nutshell, all warrantees are bets, akin to insurance. You put your money down and hope you don't have a need to collect. Is it a waste? No, just another form of gambling. For 40 years I leased cars (17 Fords, 1 Chevy) and had no need for the ESP, as their new car warrantees covered everything. My first retirement car is a 2018 KIa with a 10 year, 100k warrantee and will trade it in on the Maverick, that I will likely keep for 6 or 7 years but ill get an ESP to give me some cushion.. First time for everything.
