I've got to get cruise added, my wheels painted, and tires upgraded. I also want tint.

Wondering if anyone has opted for ceramic coating and wondered what you spent?

I also like the idea of seeing some of the plastic pieces painted black.

I like the looks. But if I could improve the looks it'd be that back bumper.

Is getting it painted crazy? Maybe see what aftermarket comes up with?

Plenty of conversations on here about ceramic coating. Might just do a lookup.

True enough, I missed a few. Hard to pin down a price. Seems being a brand new vehicle means less prep at least

I got a quote from a high performance prep group out of BG, KY (they the new vets that come off the line. ) so probably on the high side of, but their the closet ones I could find.

Ceramic Coating alone was $2,000. Anyone will need to do a fair amount of paint prep before coating, new or not.

How many years was that coating supposed to last?

5-7yrs. They also provide a treatment you do at home after you wash it.

My father feel I’ll the same week I was suppose to leave it with them. Then their shop was damaged in the tornadoes that hit KY. I haven’t been able to reschedule since.

May have to rethink it. Seems like someone doesn’t want me to get that done. I think I’ll do a version of ceramic treatment that can be done at home.

Do have a question if people also ceramic the head and tail light plastics and over the camera while doing the Ford logo.

While looking at Ernik's post https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/got-to-clay-and-apply-ceramic-to-the-alto-blue.7185/ wanted that look. Ordered the same R1 coating that came in three sizes 30ml, which Earnest said there was a little left over and tried the Revive which you use about every 6 months on the door and did not notice any difference so will just ceramic my Mav arrives and is over 50 degrees out. An important step of rubbing the excess off after this is a haze. R1 Coating also sells 50ml and 80ml sizes. Thought I could do either 3 vehicle's or perhaps added a second coat. It arrived as a 50m; and 30 ml bottles. Will save the 30 ml for the MAV and do the other two vehicles when temperatures warm up to over 50 degrees for a 24 hour period. Took a site sale of 10% and then the Welcome15 15% off and got everything plus a free wash kit with the extra 6 clothes that will probably use on doing the multiple vehicles. Paid just under $200 and look to the top on the site as noticed a 20% off code. So cost is around $65 a vehicle and if I run short on the second vehicle will not do the full roof of the Rav4.

I did the ceramic coating on my 2017 Elantra. Big thing is the prep, cleaning the surface with rubbing alcohol and microfiber cloth. I bought a 1l bottle and a garden spray bottle for this. For the ceramic coating your going use up a min of 2 microfiber cloths they can't be used again as the coat will not wash out of them! A good kit comes with the applicatior. The 2 cloths are for the wipe of the coating once it turns hazy. Mine lasted 6 7 months. Took about 2 3 hours of work. Hope this helps. And plastic can be coated. But check on the coatings site to confirm this.
