For those of you that had the windshield tinted - I've always been apprehensive to have the windshield done simply because I want a perfectly clear windshield with NO imperfections. Do you guys notice any visual clarity lost at all because of the windshield tint?
Not at all. I was worried I would still see a pin hole bubble or two after it dried but it came out perfectly.

Any shop worth their weight will stand behind their work if imperfections appear.

We had our Prius tinted with ceramic. Worth every penny. My Cruze has tinted windows from the factory and it does nothing but make it darker inside. We had our front windows done to the legal limit in California. We are SO glad we did it. We will be taking the mav in to the tiny shop when we get it.
i don’t like super dark and I am happy with whatever the legal limit in our state.
Quick question, is the factory tint a dip or a film?

Factory tint is a dye that is mixed into the glass during production and has zero UV/IR reduction capabilities.

I did not apply film over my rear windows and I don't generally think too much heat comes in as a result but if money were no object I'd certainly put film on every window.

We are in central California and the summer heat can be intense. We will be tinting all the windows. Our Prius was $600 if I remember.

I did my fronts only, just a little lighter than the factory shade. Seems like it used to be more of a cop-magnet than it is now. Like we really have anything to worry about in CA !

FWIW, the Maverick OEM windshield and front windows allow ~70% light transmittance, per the labels in the glass. The 3 rear windows allow ~22% visible light transmittance.

A lot of the ceramics reject almost the same amounts of Infrared and Ultraviolet rays as the darkest tints. So if you want good UV/IR protection, but don't want super dark glass; with ceramic, you can opt for a higher visible transmittance, and still get excellent UV & IR protection.
