Looks like there's a thin piece under the top platform. I wondering it that thin piece is screwed to the legs, and the top piece is screwed to it?

I had to look at it a minute too. I was wondering where it was attached myself.

You are correct. Used 4 pieces of 1/2" ply, 3 for the base to fit over the Kleenex box connected with a Kreg-jig, and the 4th for the lid to fit snuggly in the compartment.

I actually bought this particular knife in Switzerland in 1994. An absolutely beautiful country! One of the highlights of my life thus far.

That looks really good. I hope someone picks this up and start selling the finished product on Etsy. I want one, but I do not have a 3D printer.

That's rather counter intuitive You spend a s*** load of money on a 3-D printer just to get a $20 drop in console cancel liner. Like they say somebody needs to turn these out in mass production and make them available to everybody who wants one

@rule8any any possibility buying your plan can come editable in SolidWorks? I don't have a 3D printer but I do SolidWorks parts for fabricators (mostly metal). I just want to play w the design. If not I understand! We don't have our Mav yet to get dimensions.
