Now this one I really like.

Hammer, how hard was the installation? I might just order one if it wasn't a horrible job installing.

The install was as easy as it looked in the video, with the exception I had a little trouble snapping the screen back into place after placing the phone mount, but it finally went after keeping at it for a few minutes.
And now that I just re-watched the install video, I think my problem may be that I didn’t line up the mount right at the green clip like the installer did in the video. Also make sure that you peel off and discard the rubber seal ( attached to mounting clip) as is mentioned in the video.
Overall I would say install was easy and the mount has been rock solid since install about 18 months ago.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for...doesn't block or use vents, no drilling, very clever design that uses existing bolt, can still use the cubby next to the screen. Only cost $65 for the dash mount, phone holder, and some free cord clips. I used discount code ANNIVERSARY20

When I upgraded my 2015 Prius with a Pioneer Head unit, I no longer used a phone holder. Having android auto, I keep my phone in my pocket. The Maverick's stock head unit allows me to use android auto and I can pretty much do what I need on the Maverick screen. Answer phone calls, make phone calls ("Hey google, call Jeff R"). I can text messages, change music.....all while not taking my phone out of my pocket.

I have what may be a dumb question: Your Mav comes with both a lie-flat (with magnetic charging on the Lariat) and an upright phone holder spot in the center tray, Android and Apple connectivity, voice integration with the phone and display and steering wheel buttons to use the phone. Why do you need the phone sticking somewhere else like on a vehicle without that kind of connectivity?

I am with you got apple car play in a work van, then in the Mirage, now in the Mav thinking about stereo up grade in the Sport Trac for car play. Just not sure if I am keeping it or selling it.
I like the phone down out of the way save me a ticket and being dropped buy insurance.

Yes a texting well driving with out a claim or other ticket in 10 years got my daughter dropped on renewal. Was told they treat them like getting a DWI one and done.

Can't say it is the best but for XLT without wireless android auto, it works very well. So far (11 months), mount has been firm and steady.

Get the MA1, works great. I set my phone in the mount and don't touch it till I get where I'm going. Hate having crap in my pockets, especially a big ass phone.

I got this one and I really like it. I use one of these in my Mustang too. I mounted it to the vent on the left side of the steering wheel.

I haven't tried it but the vents are all pretty much the same shape so I can't see why it wouldn't work in the other vents.

Yeah they're great mounts, the best vent mount I've ever used by far. I use them in my Maverick and my Mustang.
