I know someone who worked at that plant from opening to closing. He bragged about having the job of welding door hinges to the body and the doors would fall off on the line. He said he didn't know how to weld but got the job due to seniority. Said most of the hinges he welded had to be repaired by a REAL welder at quality control.I just looked diesel rabbit up and found this!=
The Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup—known globally as the VW Caddy—was built from 1979 to 1984 at the Westmoreland, Pennsylvania plant. Featuring unibody construction and front-wheel drive, it offered a 6-foot bed and an 1,100-pound payload capacity. Today, these trucks are sought-after classics, typically selling at auction between $5,000 and $10,000.
Is the 2028 going to be an actual full redesign or a 2025 style refresh with limited changes? Ford usually seems to let models run 10 years before a completely new design is offered.Keep what you have until the 2028 redesign then see if it's still worth selling. Remember, you won't be able to replace it for $37,200, why don't you sell your house, I'm sure you will get more for it then you paid! Again, you won't be able to replace it for the same money.A few weeks ago prompted by another member I checked and I was being offered $35,600 for my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid 4K Tow w/moonroof with 13k miles.
Well today - it has 14,250 miles on it and the Carvana offer increased to $37,200. With it being fully paid off, and I could get most of (90+%) my PremiumCare warranty back...I'm looking at roughly $1,500 for 14 months and 14,000 miles worth of driving.
It is very tempting to sell!!

No but I can replace it with something else it doesn’t have to another AWD Hybrid Lariat.Remember, you won't be able to replace it for $37,200, why don't you sell your house, I'm sure you will get more for it then you paid! Again, you won't be able to replace it for the same money.
Then I would go with the Carvana deal. Trade in will be a lot less, and Carvana is easy to deal with. I sold my 2015 Sonata to them when I bought my Maverick. No but I can replace it with something else it doesn’t have to another AWD Hybrid Lariat.
No wonder people want them...I just looked diesel rabbit up and found this!=
