What is everyone seeing for a discount on a carryover 2024. The 2025 models are starting to show up everywhere and I'm not going to pay msrp for a year old model. Is $4000 under msrp possible? Looking for an Iconic Silver Lariat Hybrid only. Or a 2025 Rapid Red. Same specs, less discount of course on a 2025.

If you can be patient, ordering or doing A/Z/X plan pricing about the only way to get under MSRP at the moment. When I was looking at dealer stock, everyone was MSRP or above. I found one dealer that gave invoice pricing for ordered vehicles and other dealerships like Granger will do below invoice for ordering.

be sure to see an Iconic Silver, seemed like a flat silver, little shine on the 2022 XL (Iconic Silver metallic) that I had

Ok thx. Hopefully changed for 2024, about the closest match to our motorhome we want to tow it with.

the 22 iconic silver would go nice with that motorhome, would be a good match, I believe
I want a new one so it would need to be a 2024 model carryover.

Big discounts on the remaining 2024 models is a pipe dream. The 2025 models now appearing on dealer lots are all customer special orders, most of which were ordered in August and the first few weeks of September. According to several sources on this forum, Ford is not permitting dealers to order “dealer stock” of the 2025 to sell directly off the lot yet. That means it is likely that 2024 models are all that will be available for purchase directly off dealer lots for at least 4-5 more months (with the rare exception of customer special order cancellations on the 2025 model). I do not see them discounting the 2024 models they have on hand until they start receiving significant quantities of 2025 dealer stock that is not customer special orders.

The only reason a huge discount might be offered on the 2024 model is if the camera recall on the 2024 XL and XLT trims is delayed until after significant quantities of the dealer stock of the 2025 model arrives on dealer lots. Even then, it will be doubtful that either Ford or dealerships will discount the remaining stock of the 2024 model because the MSRP on the 2024 model is already thousands of dollars below the MSRP of the 2025 model, making a major discount unnecessary. Why would they discount a 2024 XL model with a starting MSRP of $23,995 when the 2025 XL model has a starting MSRP of $26,995? The same goes for the pricing on the XLT and Lariat trims. The 2025 price increases totally negate the need to discount the 2024 models.

Plus, no new 2024 models have been produced since the end of October 2024, so what is already on dealer lots is all that is left.
Long story short, if you find the 2024 you want you better go ahead and get it because it will already be several thousand dollars cheaper than the equivalent 2025 model. Since there is limited stock of the 2024 model remaining, if you miss your opportunity to purchase because you are waiting around for a huge discount that is unlikely to materialize, you are likely to not only miss out on getting the 2024 you actually want, but also put yourself in a position where you have to pay thousands more for the equivalent 2025 model. Just my two cents worth…

Since most XL buyers seem to want the Hybrid, the price difference between model years is not nearly what you claim.

It's leftover, not carryover.
