Bed tie downs for Maverick XL

From what I understand the maverick xl doesn't have all the tie downs a xlt would have.

Can you purchase the additional ones from ford

I'm pretty sure I read all trim levels come with standard D-rings in the bed + 2 tie down points on the tailgate (also known as bottle openers). When you add the bed side rails they come with 2 more tie down points.

Yeah I was reading through one of the brochures and it said it didn't have the S S D-link bed connectors (4) for the xl trim

Looking at the order guide, an XL has (6) tie downs in the bed, XLT adds (4) D-rings.

The Flex-Bed graphic shows 2 threaded holes on each side, just find the appropriate size eyebolt and thread them in.

Are there aftermarket tie downs available. Have the lowly xl. Had an xlt. Only thing I miss so far are the extra tie downs.

The bolts work perfect.
Screw into the existing, already threaded holes in the bed.

Huh? Even my tiny local mom & pop hardware store has Metric thread bolts. I just bought some a couple days ago for the bed cubbies I put my XL. I'm sure they also have the size to fit tie-downs, and may have been the same exact size.

Meant metric eyebolts, knew they had bolts.
Anyway just ordered these. A reviewer bought and said identical to OEM ones.

I ordered these and installed them on my XL. I tapped the holes for 6mm x 1 x 25 bolts.

Looks simple enough but.
Want to a add tie to both sides top rear. Bought some.
Bought 6mm screws. Not able to start them. Either too coarse a thread. (Can't tell for sure eyes not that good)?,
2. Or cause not tapered like the one i removed from the bottom tie down for comparison?
#3. Or because of spray in liner crud.

The holes are not tapped (threaded). You have to cut the threads with a tap.

That is what I did.

Bought 1/4"x1" self threading bolts and pre drilled with a 15/64" bit. The factory hole was too small to run the 1/4" bolts in but after drilling them out just a bit they worked perfectly.

I just bought individual taps on Amazon and a ratcheting tap holder from HF.
