Anyone done a truck carbine mount for Maverick?
Beretta Cx4 is 29.7 inches total length approx 7 lbs polymer frame,
I'm waiting on an SBR short barrel Form license and gonna have 4 inches of barrel cut to 12 inches.
Length will go from 29.7 to 25.7 inches, notably shorter & lighter than my 9.5 inch short-barrel AR for example.
I am thinking of some sort of quick detach under the rear seat, a bit too long for under the driver seat.
Anyone done a truck rifle mount in Maverick?

I keep a paintball gun broken down and in the pocket behind the driver's seat at all times. I know this does not help you but I figured you guys might get a giggle about something I never had a reason to mention on MTC before.

P.S. Add "Paintball Gun Air Canister" to list of things that fit well in the weird spot in the door that nothing seems to fit well hehe

My AR fits behind the rear seat just fine. I have a magnet mounted to the base of my seat where my 9mm is ready to go.

This reminds me of being in high school during hunting season. 10-15 lifted pickups sitting in the high school parking lot, unlocked with gun racks in the rear windows. Oh how I miss that high trust society. Young people will never know what they took from you.

Have a CX-4 in Flat Dark Earth - but not my “truck gun”. Did you know that the renowned Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro (who created the iconic 1976 Lotus) designed the CX-4’s “neat” shape:)?

I live in a Constitutional/Open Carry state and it is illegal to drive through a school zone with a gun in your vehicle - unless it is locked up. Felony Offense. Important to know your local laws…they certainly have changed since I was a kid!

I reckon a gun rack in the rear window would be fine like the old days. You might want to tint the windows darker.

I also “might” have a KelTec Sub 2K, folded with a 30 rd mag in my Mav.
It’s usually kept in a non descript cardboard box under the rear seat. Easy access and not obvious to anyone pilfering around.
Tip: If you keep something valuable under the rear seat, use a safety pin to conceal those release loops and most people won’t know how to lift the seat bottom to access it.

Sidearm gets mounted with a magnetic mount in front.
Extra cuffs in pouch mounted to center console hump by right knee.

I have a SIG MPX with the pistol brace, optic, light plus a spare magazine and it fits nicely under the rear seat, it only takes up 1/4 of the space available if the brace is collapsed. I have no doubt I could fit one of my 16 inch AR-15's under there no problem, it's not quick access from the driver seat though but easy to get at if you can get out of the vehicle.

Since more people die from medical mistakes in the USA than guns, I can only assume it's also illegal for a doctor to drive through a school zone. Some laws are just befuddling to me. A school zone ban on guns will certainly work. I'm sure armed felons are busy programing their GPS to avoid school zones in their get away route. (I wonder if there is such a thing as a politician with 3 digits in their IQ)

For folks that have no idea what a Kel-Tec SUB-2000 is. Much less how small it is when folded.
It is literally smaller than two sheets of paper.
Mine is chambered in 40 S&W with Beretta mags.

Glock mags 9mm Fiocchi combat 124’s that’s a machine gun round. Hot stuff, 1,600 plus fps out of that long barrel.
The combat’s are as close as legally possible to +P+ police only power levels for civilians.
But I’m not very, ‘Civil’ these days~
I hate the peep sight, holes too small, want to do the bigger one for faster target acquisition. MCarbo.

That's 1 reason I love Louisiana! Legally, your vehicle is an extension of your home (your castle) and not required to be locked up or unloaded, even in a school zone or on airport property. Just don't get out of the truck with the gun, when dropping off in those areas!

I have my concealed carry permit so I'm legal as long as I don't leave the state. I have locks for road trips.
