Couple of days ego, I've ordered a Hybrid for '24:

Ford Maverick Cancelled order for '24... 1689813458460

The price was OK with me, about $1.3K more than my current one, but didn't like the priority code of 19. Based on what I've seen in this forum, it would've taken Ford probably a year, if not rolled over for '25. Nah, just keep my '23 Lariat....

Priority code only matters within the dealership (assuming this isn't a 23 rollover). It is the default setting in the system for a retail order. You can ask them how they set their PC, they might move it down. But as stated if they can make 120,000 - 140,000 '24 Mavericks with 35% being hybrid that's around 40,000 - 50,000 hybrids of which 20,000 will be '23 rollovers. But there is hope. The '23 hybrid capacity jumped with more batteries. Maybe in '24 they will have a massive increase in batteries at a lower cost.

What have you got to lose if you just keep the order? You have a '23 Lariat which you are going to keep, why not just leave the order there, you never know it might surprise you and if it rolls over to '25 you might have some price protection. I've got a XL hybrid on order, that's two strikes right there but I'm willing to roll with it, I'm not in a dire need of a vehicle. If you needed a vehicle then that's a different story.

Priority code (10-19) is for how dealers allocate not in the order that ford builds them. If your dealer left all their builds as 19 then there is no real order on which costumer gets it first. If it's 17,18,19 then 17 is first, then 18, lasts is 19. That does not mean that ford will build it in that order. Ford can build them all at the same time. 19 might be EB while 17,18 are hybrids so EB might go first

The also tend to prioritize if they have '23 rollover orders, they might get PC 10 and the new '24 orders get a PC 19. My order from Granger is a PC 19, it's a new '24 order.

I have a unicorn XL Hybrid with tow hitch and SIBL on order. If it gets built, it gets built, if it doesn't, it doesn't. It was primarily ordered as a hedge in case my current vehicle gets totaled for whatever reason. Deadly scared of rear-enders here in California given how many damn drivers are sucked into their phones as they're driving.

I agree, should keep it and see how long it takes! That’s part of the fun!

I have the same exact build, what color? If it's Atlas Blue we are unicorn twins. :)

You want PC 10 or better. The 19 crowd are the ones waiting around forever. I’m on my 4th Maverick and 4months was my longest wait. PC definitely matters.

That depends purely on dealer. My truck was a priority code 19 at my dealer.

I am currently driving it.

Is that a HYBRID? Should have $1500 added for that. Looks like a FWD eco boost.
