Talking to a fellow the other day at the local home center. He paid 10K over MSRP for a 100mile used 23 Hybrid XL stripped back in August. Maybe things have changed the last 3 months but I gotta believe even in this economy there are still plenty of people out there with more money than brains.

When I told him I waited a year for my EB, he scoffed and said he could never do that, will gladly pay the extra first. Well, there you go.

That seems so weird.
People do brag about things, either how much they paid for something or how little but I would have thought the more money than brains people would just keep their mouths shut about paying that much - especially to a guy waiting in line

I put my vin in with 300 miles on xl and they are offering me 1900 less than my purchase price. not that id want to sell but if it was enough I would have done it to try to get my 24 order. lol
That is bad news for me expecting 2 of them I thought the 2024 xl hybrids were still going for more. Youre not talking about the gas only model are you? I could see that Never saw the point to that. And giving a gas only stressed by a turbo a proper name like Ecoboost didnt make it any more attractive either. The big wait was for the hybrid. So those are worth less than MSRP now. Wow. Must make the Ecoboost worthless

Not so sure about that. My insurance company tells me they compute replacement value according to KBB and dealer ADM, whichever is higher. KBB currently has the value of my EB FX/4 at 32K, 1.5K more than I paid for it. Not sure how many dealers they call or how it works on the ADM.

The EB engine is designed from the ground up with the turbo in mind so I would say for someone who drives in a reasonable manner like myself and does not horse the crap out of the truck, it will outlast me the way I take care of my toys. Besides no reason to horse the truck. The EB is quick in the Maverick but not what I would say fast.

Well, I was able to buy my 2024 Lariat Hybrid yesterday from my dealer I have one on order with. It was the 5th Maverick in a week’s time that other customers who ordered had walked away from. The others were not Lariat Hybrids which is why I didn’t jump on one earlier in the week. However 3 of the 5 were XLT hybrids. one was an EB Lariat. So if this is any indication of the rest of the country, there is about to be a lot of Mavericks available on lots. having said that, all 5 including the one I bought were sold within a week. So there is still demand. Just thinking that demand is coming from people who have an order they’re still waiting to get a build date on. So further out, the demand may lesson. I believe the days of people paying big markups are ending. The dealer sold me this one at MSRP plus gave me a lifetime powertrain warranty.

Fairly plain for a Lariat. Not many options, but to each his own.

I just looked on the Granger site and it appears the truck is still for sale. They listed it for IA residents at $38,520 with dealer installed paint and interior protection and undercoat rust proofing. MSRP on the Window sticker is 36,725. Would love to know what the out of state price is. The VIN is 3FTTW8M30RRA08577
