Canadian FordPass points delay/quantity

So I was still waiting after two weeks. Called my sales rep who checked and they didn't do whatever it is they're supposed to do. Apparently done now, but nothing in my account yet. I imagine it will take a week or so more.

Should take about 1 to 3 hours try scrolling down on the app so it refreshes

Called Ford, got points about 2 hours after call. Some kind of screw up with account location or something was why nothing for 2 months.

I started a live chat with via the Ford pass app and got connected to the Ford Pass rewards department. They confirmed that some sales info was missing and got that info confirmed and said points should be in the account in 24hrs....hopefully thats the issue for most of you with delayed points (mine has been over 1 month)

For those of you without points after a month, skip the Ford Canada chat/phone. They will refer to the US FordPass Rewards help line which is 866-586-9637.

It's up to 30 days after activation of your vehicle's modem. My dealer's tech/tour guy was busy with another client so we opted to leave and do it ourselves. That resulted in my dealer not logging the sale to my FordPass account. I called my dealer two weeks later to ask about the points and it was done then. Still waiting, only 4 days to go before the month goes by and they (FordPass Rewards) can manually add the points. What a sh*tshow.

TLDR; Make sure your dealer enters your sale into your FordPass rewards account on pickup day. Usually points show a few days later when that is done, according to the agent I spoke to.

Yes, that is a good tip. You dealer should be recording your Ford Pass "member ID". If that member ID is reported to Ford (when the dealership reports the sale to Ford), you should get the points very quickly!

Yep, because if it ain't, you'll wait the full month like I did. They just landed in my account 30 days after ACTIVATION...not the date of sale.

At least you got them! Sometimes that can be a struggle... I have to call and try and get a customer her missing points this week. And a couple of years ago, it took me almost three months to get missing points finally awarded to a customer.
Once they added the member ID to the report sale screen, the process has gotten much smoother!

How early did you order your Hybrid? US orders before a certain cutoff got a free FITS accessory kit from Ford. I believe that Canadian orders in the same time frame got extra FordPass points instead. (And if the point conversion in Canada is similar to the American one.....Canadian hybrid owners made out much better!)

Ordered my hybrid back in July 2021... wondering if it's worth contacting the dealer or Ford to see about getting the bonus points.

‘It’s actually 40,000 points, and mine finally showed up on my account this week. Purchase date: 2 July.
