Can I just add a larger touchscreen?

Ford Authority came out with an article today saying it looked like the 2025 mavricks were getting a bigger screen. Once they come out there may be away to order those and retrofit into are older mavricks.

I hope so. Or maybe I'll just sell my Maverick and buy another one.

If they would come out with one that was truly orange (not the school bus yellow/orange that my truck is), I'd buy a new one in a heartbeat. And if it's Clemson orange, I might buy a couple.

I know someone got the larger 12" Explorer screen working with Sync 4 in the Maverick, but there is no way to mount it. I was looking at the Escape wide screen for Sync 4, but the mounting brackets on the back don't line up with the Maverick. Hopefully we will see a solution with the 2025 model if someone doesn't mod an Escape widescreen in the meantime. I am thinking about buying one myself just to see how it would fit. Maybe something 3d printed could make it work.

I often wondered what this connector was on the back of the non-sync unit and could it an optional input or output? White connector in the picture.

I think I'd rather spend $6k to upgrade to a 2025 Maverick with the bigger screen (and have 3 more years of warranty, and reset the mileage to 0) than $3k to upgrade just the screen/radio on my 2022.

I do appreciate their effort, but it would have to be around $1000 for me to upgrade just the screen.

I am sure once the 2025's come out with the larger screen someone here will figure out how to retrofit the older Mavericks. I expect that it will be complicated and expensive

I see the link for the upgraded unit, lowered the price to $1999 with a 60 day lead time. Maybe with the order banks open soon they lowered it so people don't trade in and get a 2025 but once they are closed it goes back up to $4k??? Just a heads up.
