Can I hide my odometer (millage) on my gauge cluster?

Wondering if it is possible not to display the odometer all of the time while driving. I haven’t found a setting to “hide” it.

Legally it May be required to be there.

I have to wonder what advantage would be gained by hiding it in the first place.

You may not be able to hide it, but it might be possible to put something else in it's place, GM vehicles from the early 2000's could do this replacing it with trip odometer or some other function, or it may not be a function as the designers didn't see a need for it to ever be hidden.

What is the logic behind this? Makes no sense as to why you'd want your mileage "hidden" off of the gauge cluster.

I agree with you and posted an earlier comment much the same. My intent is not to criticize OP (not saying you are), but to determine the reasoning.
