this looks sweet, are the tracks rated for the up force when the box is pulled fully forward?
They are rated for 250 lbs each, although I mounted them horizontally so that's gone down quite a bit. with the water and battery weight being so far back and supported by a little 1" scrap piece at the end of the tailgate it seems plenty sturdy though.

Had I thought I would end up using slides I would have built it slightly differently but it was an afterthought after the small casters didn't work too well and required the legs

Great job. I love how this truck is a platform for ideas like this. Well done and when is dinner?

After the first trip a couple weekends ago I decided I wanted a proper kitchen, especially considering there won't be many tables or spots to cook along service roads. I didn't need anything specific but wanted a sink, pressurized water and storage for pots, pans, etc.

With some rough measurements I went into sketch up and started planning a layout. I went off course when I actually started building but just needed to get my ideas down.

I'll let the photos speak for themselves but overall I am very happy with how it turned out. I used a old battery for constant power that I will have hooked up to my bed lights aswell as for charging devices and powering string lights.

Total cost for just the slide out and wood came to about 400$ the big slides themselves where 200$ however considering the cost of purchasing one it is well worth the savings. Approximately 20 hours into the build. im thinking a small solar maintainer should be plenty to keep the battery charged for the weeks it wont be used.

This looks so cool! Definitely on my list if I want to make an overlanding Maverick build.

Great Build. Do you have a parts list? Mainly looking for the rail hardware you purchased and methods for mounting to bed. Thanks.
