Cabin fan has a mind of its own.

I have noticed with increased frequency that will increase speed for a few minutes. When this happens none of the environment controls work till it resets.

Yes, the fan speed appears to have a mind of its own. The computer controls it, and it does seem to do what it deems appropriate. I’ve accepted it.

It is adjusting temperature and/or humidity levels to reduce the possibility of condensate forming. The AC may be running defrost cycle.

Wow this makes sense. Was on the phone during a long drive and then shortly after the call ended it sped up without me touching the speed dial

If you have a Lariat the climate control will override your fan setting until it reaches your temp setting

I have a 24 Lariat and the climate control does not override the fan setting.
