To me it would make more sense for people without the factory rails to just buy a bunch of cleats at a hardware store or amazon to use the factory drilled holes.

I have the factory bed rail, use it all the time for tying things down, so I can easily see why people would want something like this. That said, a single rail makes more sense, doesn't take up as much space in the bed, and it's cheaper if you can DYI.

I have several Builtright products on my Raptor and TRX. They are one of the best “Made in America” companies out there with the best customer service and 1000% stand behind their innovative products. No, they are not expensive, they are the highest quality items. I’ve never once in my life been sorry for buying the best, I have unfortunately been sorry several times trying to save a few dollars when I purchased some off-shore crap only to need to buy again...

The last pic is from the Builtright site but similar to what I have in my TRX (less high-lift jack). The other pics are early from my Gen3 Raptor (less the Krazy Beaver shovel (AKA murder shovel, LOL)

Given the limited space in the Maverick's bed, if someone was looking for a mounting solution to keep items off the floor and contained, this may be a solution. They have lots of Quick-mount solutions that bolt to the panel to securely hold almost anything....

Whats its purpose as it covers the slots up in the flex bed.
I used it as a way to secure the variety of items I have in my bed to prevent them from flying out or sliding around. The rails and cleats people have in their bed are less flexible in securing small and medium size items that are on the bed. Tool bags, extension cords, water jugs are just a few things that I need to secure in my bed. I have no need to use the adjustable cleats and the rail system. The bed of this truck isnt that big where the corner tie downs aren’t sufficiently spaced.

I added metal loops under the screws that secure the rack to the bed so I have lash points to tie down tarps and the like I need to use to secure yard waste from flying out of the bed and littering the roads.

The Molle accessories are interesting but not for me as they are too much of a system and you are way to much for some that a simple nylon web strap will work.

I have PTSD from weaving MOLLE. This post triggered me and I'm on the VA hotline now.

It's definitely a head scratcher 😵💫
I was thinking the same thing... lol... just looks like more metal surfaces to scratch up things when loading the truck...

I just installed a BuiltRight molle bed rack today. An impulse buy but I think it will work out rather nicely. Its designed to fit on either driver’s or passenger’s side of the bed. And because of the screwy hole pattern that Ford used, they had to cut slots and oblong holes for the mounting points.

At $145 a side I only bought one, but depending on how things goes, I can see buying a second one.

As I have just a mere XL, I don’t have the bed cubbies. But the rack is designed such that it won’t interfere with the cubbies if you have them.

Better pictures can be found on their website.

What bolts did you use to mount the panels? My panels came with silver bolts but I like the of your black ones

Webbing? Screw that! Hooked bungee cords is the way I fly.

I don’t understand the specialty packs and tactical gizmos that go with the complete Molle system.
It’s a soldier thing.
