I just had the fun of doing mine without service mode being available. I parked the truck with E brake disengage. I left the truck off the entire time. I didnt disconnect the battery. All I ended up doing is unplugging the electrical part of the E brake and then used the compression tool to push/turn it in. After it was all put back together, I plugged the E brake connector back in. When I first started up the truck, I just engaged and disengaged the Ebrake repeatedly as it uses that to recalibrate itself.

That's what i ended up doing. Just disengage/disconnect the ebrake then manually wind it back. I just stopped by a quick lane so they could verify that the work is solid after all was said and done as well as clear any OBD2 codes.

There was one for rear right parking brake only because after disconnecting, i opened the driver door to verify parking brake was still off and it popped up a "park brake fault. Service now" message on the dash.

Just snapped a bolt and learned the hard way. 😅

...for those anchor bolts, it's 81lb for the front and 46lb at the back !!

Clarifying here... if doing fronts only, it's "normal" and no maint mode needed or anything?

Does yours have the Electronic Brake Booster where the truck can engage the brakes on it's own?
Then yes service mode would be good, since it's easy to go into it.

EB with Adaptive Cruise Control and 360 options should have EBB.

Just see what's on your brake reservoir. Big vacuum or small electric.
