Blue Driver OBD reader not reading my Maverick correctly

Anyone else using the BlueDriver OBDII reader.
I have had mine for years and have used its on a multitude of vehicles.
1999 sable
2004 Highlander
Lots of other vehicles.

The problem I am having is that it does not read the Maverick VIN correclty.

I have contacted Blue Driver numerous times and have been told that the VIN data is a 3rd party that
they have no control over. It has been over a year - and the same problem...

Here is what I get from the BlueDriver app

The blue driver shows my 2024 Maverick as a 1994 Ford Truck 4.9L 6L class 3 10,000 to 14,000 lbs.

No data in Maintenance Schedule, Potential Recalls, or Service bulletins. (Normally filled with data and information!)

It does display live data on the Mav. I can read quite a bit of live data.

1994 and 2024 both use the letter R for year code in the VIN. See https://www.faxvin.com/vin-check/year-chart
That could be the reason your OBDII reader is confused. Might be time for an upgrade.

Having the same issue. My new 2025 Lobo shows as a 1995. Thought mistakenly that my OBD port was screwy.

Mainly looking to track oil temperature - do you know offhand if BlueDriver can display that in live data? Thanks!

I don't remember if it has oil temp - I will take a look next time I start the truck. You can't look at "supported" data till it is plugged in and hot...

This morning I used my Blue Driver OBD reader on my 2022 Hybrid and it did recognize the truck as being a 2022 Ford Maverick. Maybe the software has been updated!

I did not see any oil temperature on the app - my bluedriver app still shows 1994 ford pickup.

Good idea - did exactly that and it kinda worked. Front screen for vehicle info shows 1994 FORD but if I hit the reload icon just left of the VIN it shows 2024 FORD Maverick & VIN #.
Vehicle specifications are now correct!!! BUT Maintenance Schedule, Potential Recalls, & Service Bulletins are all blank at this time.... One step at a time!!!

It just won't connect to the app. I've made sure the firmware is up to date and have the latest version of the app.

As a note, I can plug it into my other vehicle and it connects instantly.

Had the same problem - it is not you (or me) but BlueDriver. Just not compatible with Maverick. Some have had very limited data extracted. Maybe they’ll pipe in.

Mine is working for the most part. I now have the correct information (kinda) in the app.
My VIN and 2024 FORD not (Maverick).
The SPEC do come up correctly. (Maverick ETC.)
Maintenance Schedule - NOTHING
Potential Recalls - NOTHING
Service Bulletins - NOTHING

Live engine details seem to be good but nothing that I can find for transmission etc.

Which version of the BlueDriver is everyone using? Looking at their website, it looks like some diagnostic features are not supported with the original Pro version that are with the Next Gen version. I have the original and have never used it on my Maverick Hybrid, only on older vehicles and without issues. Maybe theNext Gen model would work better on a Maverick
