OBD adapter for Forscan

I'm a newbie so please help with my confusion. I am very interested in obtaining the things I need to use Forscan. I have a 2024 Maverick Hybrid and a Windows 11 laptop to use for this.

All of the OBD II devices I see online appear to be very similar making the choice extremely difficult. Some have the Ford logo, others have a designation of "ELM 327", some have both. There seem to be infinite other variations as well, with prices all over the map.

I'm looking for something functional but basic. I don't need or want anything other than a simple USB type connection to my laptop. Please point me in the right direction.

Also I got the sense by watching some of the YouTube videos, that Windows 11 could be a problem? Please advise.

Forscan site lists the good, and some of the problem devices and why.

Since you want it to work with their software - I'd suggest take their recommendation.

I used that discount code a couple of months ago. Not only did they honor it, it shipped the next day and arrived the day after that. Pretty good considering it's the one recommended by the developer.
