Blizzak Winter Tires / Bronze Wheels setup (235/65R-17)

Hey Guys! Long time lingerer; first time poster. I love my Maverick more than I thought I would. Thanks to this community for all the advice, reviews, suggestions and first hand experiences. 2025 Lariat Eruption Green BAP.

Winter tire wheel set arrived this week and I couldn’t wait to install the new wheels. 17x8 Sparco All-Terrain Gravel in Rally bronze. Bridgestone Blizzak 235/65R-17. I have blizzaks on my GTI and they’ve never let me down. The only thing missing is snow! Bronze compliments many of colors but I think it pairs best with green.

What are you using for the cross bars over the bed? Is that the elevate t track or something else? The bronze and green looks good together

Just for interest, why did you put winter tires on aluminum rims that will corrode quickly in salt? Normally you put winter tires on steelies, since they take forever to rust out.

Facebook marketplace find. Older Yakima Y towers. I have a roll n lock t slot canister tonneau cover. The T slot is universally compatible with most tower systems. On top of the bars is a Thule swing arm bike mount and old Yakima downtube clamp mount. It’s kinda Frankenstein’d together but fits my mission pretty well.

I don’t. The Yakima towers are older y towers. I found them on FB marketplace. Paired with a Universal T slot tonneau cover.

Firstly because it looks cool and I wanted to. Lol I’m not sure how it is in your municipality but where I live they’ve transitioned from traditional rock salt to a road brine that they lay down before storms. It’s way less corrosive.

Is this the new Ford buyer incentive? Buy a Maverick and have an option to purchase a color matching airplane?!

Wow today I learned something. Thanks for sharing. I just assumed the brine was a better alternative to the rock salt. FWIW I haven’t seen much corrosion on the steelies that I've had on my GTI for 10 seasons. I guess time will tell about the alloy wheels.
