    Wow today I learned something. Thanks for sharing. I just assumed the brine was a better alternative to the rock salt. FWIW I haven’t seen much corrosion on the steelies that I've had on my GTI for 10 seasons. I guess time will tell about the alloy wheels.

    Firstly because it looks cool and I wanted to. Lol I’m not sure how it is in your municipality but where I live they’ve transitioned from traditional rock salt to a road brine that they lay down before storms. It’s way less corrosive.

    I don’t. The Yakima towers are older y towers. I found them on FB marketplace. Paired with a Universal T slot tonneau cover.
