So I have 31,000 Ford "points". I have a Lariat with pretty much everything I want, including a maintenance plan, plus added Mabett mud flaps, Maxzina tailgate assist, other odds and ends like a silicon protecter for the cupholder area, center console organizer trays, Curt hitch, Rough Country tonneau.

Looking at the Ford accessories I cannot decide what to splurge on with my points. Roadside assistance kit? First aid kit? Spend extra and get the roll-up tool kit?

I don't like the stick-on keyless entry keypad, too bad Ford decontented the built in one.

All opinions welcome.

Forgot he said he bought the maintenance plan.

If you use the Siruis XM, use points to buy sirius gift cards.

Yeah I am in the same boat. I spent a little over half the points on an oil change but want to do my own from now on. So with 10K points or so left, I'm thinking roadside kit, raised letters (I have vinyl ones on there now), or door sill protectors with the Maverick on them (have plain ones now). Not a lot of great options and most of the items ford sells are more expensive on their site.

Too bad you don’t like the stick on keyless entry keypad. I’ve never had one before. Now I hide my fob in the cab and use the keypad or the Ford app to lock or unlock the door. No bulky fob to carry around or leave someplace. Points covered the cost of the pad. I love it.

My Milan and Escape had the built-in pad. I dislike the stick-on one because it has a battery that will (admittedly in some years) run out and then it's not a user-replaceable battery.

Is the pad a dealer install only item or did you install it yourself?

I got the passenger side tool box, but the installation was a pain. I still need to drill out two holes to mount it correctly. I am not sure if it is because of the spray in bed or if the holes are justbtoo small. The instructions are a joke. Maybe take a pass on this?

Granger (probably others) will accept Ford points for the Ford Protect extended warranty.
That's how I used mine.

Oil changes are good, I wanted something that would last so I used points and added the tailgate dampener as it was a DIY with no regrets. Should have been done at factory.

I see Ford has cut back on the rewards points, when I got a 2024 Bronco Sport, I got over 40,000 points. Your 31000 points are worth $155 at Ford dealer. 200 points = $1. Not sure what to get with my Maverick points? 🤔 . Maybe locking lug nuts.

Curious how many points it was? Got the one Ford sells on Amazon for $27.

@Elderchuck - After your installation, something now looks missing in this picture.

Ford Maverick Best use for my Ford points? missing

For the factory tie down bracket that had to be removed from the tailgate - there are options for a replacement tie down point that works with the strut. I have one available that I make and sell.

Works well and clears the new strut and no issues with the cable. And made in the USA by a fellow Maverick owner. I have a thread here in the For Sale forum. Don't lose a tie-down point!
