Hopefully all of the settings are stored in non-volatile memory of some sort and the truck can wake up in the same state it was in when you disconnected the battery, but I would not want to let mine sit longer than a few hours disconnected for fear I might brick the truck! So is it bad to just take off a battery cable. My Camry manual says to disable battery if not using it for two weeks which I do if I am parked at an airport for very long......
That would defeat the purpose of the FordPass app telling you where your vehicle is and if you had it stolen while you're away you could not know where your vehicle was when it went back into deep sleep. My Maverick has been sitting since Christmas in my garage (I’ve been in Florida). Two concerns with startup 1. 12v battery - assuming it will be a simple charge, and 2. Upper engine lubrication during start up. Assuming dip stick is at the halfway mark I was thinking of adding oil to the full mark and hoping it drips down and provides some upper engine lubrication. Charged 12v battery at battery. 40 minute charge to 100%. Charge lasted seconds. Charged again using terminals under hood. Took 8 hours to get “System” to 100%. Ran like new
