A lot of opinions so here's mine:

Jump it off and let it run for about ten minutes before going anywhere.

So is it bad to just take off a battery cable. My Camry manual says to disable battery if not using it for two weeks which I do if I am parked at an airport for very long......
Hopefully all of the settings are stored in non-volatile memory of some sort and the truck can wake up in the same state it was in when you disconnected the battery, but I would not want to let mine sit longer than a few hours disconnected for fear I might brick the truck!

That would defeat the purpose of the FordPass app telling you where your vehicle is and if you had it stolen while you're away you could not know where your vehicle was when it went back into deep sleep. Ford engineers just need to get off their rumps and get this problem fixed. It's gone on way too long.

Wow, if my Mav is stolen I am not sure the location of where it went to sleep is real meaningful. I would suspect most thieves can disable this anyway. However, I agree that Ford needs to get the problem fixed.

My Maverick has been sitting since Christmas in my garage (I’ve been in Florida). Two concerns with startup 1. 12v battery - assuming it will be a simple charge, and 2. Upper engine lubrication during start up. Assuming dip stick is at the halfway mark I was thinking of adding oil to the full mark and hoping it drips down and provides some upper engine lubrication. Your thoughts

Well, I’m back. Would nor start, turnover, activate. Charged 12v battery at battery. 40 minute charge to 100%. Charge lasted seconds. Charged again using terminals under hood. Took 8 hours to get “System” to 100%. Ran like new

Yep, "batteries is batteries" and a trickle charger in your extended absence should do the trick (in the truck if possible).

Might be a good idea to treat/stabilize your fuel while you are gone, as it can go bad.

Run it to get treated fuel throughout the fuel system. Helps prevent varnish etc forming and plugging things up.

I did both when deploying. Just pulled the batteries and had them inside on a trickle charger. Not a Mav of course, an old F150 so completely different beast.

At any rate, great news!
