I've added a couple extra tie down in hte back on my XL and want to add one a pair of D rings to the floor near the cab i nthe two existing holes. But I need to buy bolts for those. Can anyone tell me the correct bolt size / thread / etc. I need to get at ACE?

Only post I could find said a T40 bolt and that is not enough detail. I need something like M8 10MM T40 3/4" or something similar. I know on the back ones I had to clean out the threads before I could get the bolts in - likely the same here?

Thanks!

I'm guessing he means 1.25" but it is not 100% clear.

I used these for those same floor holes. Two for each one. I had a spray in bedliner and I did need to tap the holes.

M8-1.25 x 25mm

Thanks - perfect - I'll pick some up and hopefully they work. If I have to dust off a 25 year old Tap and die set they it could be trouble :)

Any reason everyone installs d rings in the floor instead of two 1000 pound triangle tie downs in the same holes?

The D-rings lay flat, so if you have big items they don't get in the way. Unless I'm misunderstanding the different between the tie down types.

I found a set on Amazon that lay flat and used them on the sides of the bed instead of the DIY channel strut rails.

Was going to use them on the floor bed too.

Yeah that's kind of the same type, just a different shape. I thought you were talking about tie downs like the ones at the back sides of the bed. My mistake.
