Again, false information on the OEM hitch receiver. I went through all that with the ordering of the original OEM hitch receiver and 4-pin wiring harness.
The hitch receiver is welded on the crash bar just as it is at the factory. It IS NOT bolted on. IT IS welded onto the crash bar. IT IS the same bar, hitch receiver as used at the factory. I tell facts, not opinions of what you think it is. And NO, the wiring is NOT tapped in. I’d highly recommend you go research before stating opinions. This process has been discussed in great detail here. And all is based on research and facts from those of us that actually own Mavericks.
So you are saying Ford techs now are also certified welders? You still didn't answer the important question if you plug in your harness does the IPC know a trailer is connected? The oem 4 pin will give a message in the cluster when it does. If doesn't it is simply tapped in and not fully wired to oem spec.

You are totally misinformed about the OEM crash bar with the welded on hitch receiver. It comes already welded on the bar when it is shipped to you or buy it from Ford parts. The crash bar that is on the truck w/o the hitch receiver is completely removed and not used. The replacement crash bar hitch receiver replaces the one w/o it.
And yes, when the pigtails are plugged into the left and rear light, the IPC knows there is a trailer connected and will display it.
And just a note about the Curt 4-pin wiring harness for the Bronco Sport. It has its own fuse box. The wire for the power is a direct connect to the battery. The Curt harness has two wires that need to be switched. There’s red and brown. They need to be cut on both sides, and the red needs to be spliced to the red, and the red to the brown…on the Curt wiring harness…NOT the wires for the brakes on the truck.

Again, this is all discussed on here in great detail, and it’s all from facts from research and personal experience those of us actually went through to install the OEM hitch receiver that is already welded onto the crash bar from the manufacturer. It’s not based on hip pocket opinions.

Any anesthetic difference in the OEM hitch installed by dealer and factory? Frequently its the trim and finish that sufferer.

If course this is all if you get the OEM one from a Ford dealer. Since most are probably just going to U Haul and having them bolt one on I'd rather have factory.

The OEM crash bar hitch receiver is the same. That’s why they call it OEM.

Not sure about the rail system, but my dealer said most of the options I wanted (hitch and floor mats) could be ordered from the parts department at the dealer or online, and they recommended to do it just to limit constraints. You should be able to get that installed or at least ordered at the dealer after your bed liner.
From what I've seen, the factory hitch option has a bumper wrap around it. (Black plastic) that gives it a custom look. For that reason I kept it in my order. I did pass on the bed liner, bed carpet and a few other that had higher restraint numbers.

I might call my dealer tomorrow and have them add the hitch. My original thinking was I don’t have anything to haul so it would be a nice to have that I would add later. But if I can pay a quarter of the price now and not worry about installation it might be worth it.

Yep, there's a factory trim difference. I insisted on keeping the factory install hitch, but dumped other restraint options to let the dealer do them.

I went OEM on the hitch for several reasons
1. The U-Haul bolt on does not look like the integral OEM. Ford unit has custom black bumper wrap.
2. When UHaul hooks up the lights, the computer reads it as a trailer is attached.(so I've been told)
3. The Uhaul wiring is exposed (ie: not in a harness. Even when zip tied.
4. UHaul is 3 times the price!
