Bed rail system worth it?

I ordered in Oct. 2021 for a 22 XLT with lux package. I received a vin but I'm now getting rolled over to a 23. For those that have received their truck and have the bed rail system is it worth it. The 23 Lux package does come with it but I believe it can be added by the dealer. Thoughts please.

I've had mine since October 2021, and I've used the rail tiedowns several times because they are convenient. Would I miss them if they weren't there? Probably not, because I've never had a rail system before and the bed has built-in tiedowns.

I included the bed rail system in my '23 order. I had an '05 Nissan Titan that had the side rails with tie-down cleats and found them to be very useful in tying down larger, heavy items. FWIW.

Since I am not in a hurry to get the truck, I took a chance placing that item in my factory order.

Are they available for dealer install? Last time I checked (around '23 Mav ordering week) I couldn't find the rails on the ford parts catalog. I'm hoping they show in the catalog by the time I get my '23 Mav so I can also do a dealer install with my ford points.

Worth it. Used them several times cinching down heavy furniture, bedding, and light loads as well. No tapbacks whatsoever.

I had a Nissan frontier and used it's bedrail system to anchor a HF bed and over cab rack to truck. Used grade 8 bolts and strut fittings from home Depot instead of the crap J-bolts that it came with. Worked really well.

There are DIY options that retain the fixed tie down and add 2 or more rail tie downs. The Ford OEM is double the cost and replaces one fixed with one sliding on each side.
