I believe XLT with Luxury Package is the minimum

Dang. Don’t really want/need any of those other options so was hoping there was something I was missing. Thanks!

Should be easy enough to wire in your own with the dedicated circuit ran to it. You’d honestly probably get more power output too

I was in the same boat, and wished they’d have made it a stand alone option. I ended up going for the interior 400w inverter with the rear manual window. I figure I can always run an extension cord out through the door or through the rear window.

I'll have one I don't want. I'll let it go cheap.

A 120V/400 watt (output) inverter draws in the range of 30 amp DC, so those circuits provided in the bed corners will limit the size of the inverter that can be used. 400 watts is only 3.3 amps, so it's not much in the first place.

Yea when you see a household plug, you just think “I can run power tools from this” when in reality like your calculations show, you can maybe run a tv or charge a laptop with it haha

I thought about that too. Since I just switched my XLT w/lux order. You might consider a 'Jackety 500' or similiar product. I have one I can take with me and can carry it inside the truck, house or tent camping.

I’ll have to check out how it’s wired and maybe we can talk more

It would be 33a at 100% efficiency. 400w inverter will likely pull closer to 40a.

I don’t understand why Ford wouldn’t put a 800-1200 watt setup in the Hybrid Maverick. All the components are there to run heavier wattage than the regular 400 that the non hybrid vehicles get.

I have a Goalzero 1000, but on longer camping trips that is not enough to keep my portable fridge running. The Goalzero needs less than 400w to charge, but it can handle a peak load of 2000w. I would like my next car to be able to charge my Goalzero without needing a separate generator, preferably with the engine only kicking in when the car battery is low. If the Maverick can do that, it would be the ultimate camping vehicle.

Take a look at the detailed pictures from the Chicago show. There is a picture with the rear seat backrest forward. Looks like the inverter is installed on driver side.

It should be easy to wire your own set up and get a higher quality inverter with extra outlets as a diy.

For warranty I don’t think Ford would consider that an approved DIY item.
