bed light

it comes on when u open the door, it comes on when you close the door, when i get up n the middle of the nite to P it come on. is there any way to make it only responsive to the switch on the dash.
( i saw some of the posts about the shower lite and the 24 mav hyb has a diffeent button... no more free showers, sorry )
I do recall on many occasions driving on the interstate and seeing a ford pu go by with that bed light and wonder, wots up with that,
my dilusion comes from livin off the grid for too long. lites are to erase darkness.

It's likely the Ford bed lights you've seen turned on were due to the driver having the interior dome light on. In the past they were wired on the same switch.

WRONG:,still or again... just got my insurance card in the mail and decided to take a good look at that lite switch. had to train a flashlite on it and GOOD NEWS showers are still at the press of a button.
sorry, disabled vet and only got one good eye. was on an apc in nam that hit a mine so i gotta flashlite most. thats my excuse for alot of things including reading that owners manuel...
