Yes, but it's a PTA to reinstall the vertical ones without flipping the cover. I plan on going to 2x4s when time permits.

You could always put a hinge and a lock on it.

In the picture there are three different methods of bed dividers.
Slide-out tray with fold down divider, offers the most storage room without items sliding to the front and it slides out.

2x6 with hinge.
I found that groceries still fall over the top when you stop.

Cross bed adjustable tension poles.
One really isn't enough if you put groceries in the back the plastic bags end up sliding forward over the top of one pole.
