That was the advantage of luxury cars back then, they had all the bells and whistles. But now you can get them all in the inexpensive cars, the Maverick has amazing amount of tech for the price. That automatic stop is great, I have it on my fusion hybrid.
Yeah I was wishing I had that automatic stop when I went through the long line at the drive thru a couple hours ago.

I like these. It adds a little pop to the wheels. I'm on the list for an Area 51 XL hybrid and already thinking about ways to dress the wheels up.

I was XL hybrid all the way with charcoal powder coated steel wheels. But Ford is smart, for about 2,285 you get aluminum wheels, cruise control, upgraded interior, extra tie down hooks Etc... so XLT for me.
I never even considered the Lariat, you start to get away from afFORDability. 😄
I'm at Lariat now after many many months on XL! There is so many things you take into consideration on each trim. Even up to now I'm still conflicted between the three trims. The reason being, at the very base, you get so much stuff for the money! The XLT is the perfect blend of affordability and features. Then the Lariat, even if you check all the options, still comes out as a bargain versus the competition.

Hubcaps will be a no-go.

There aren't any nubs for them to grab onto.

It's all about the XL! I always say, there are 3 things the Maverick got going for.

Hybrid fuel efficiency
Truck utility
Price

Wanting more outside those three, doesn't make any sense. Unfortunately I was seduced by other features that this truck offers.

With deadline coming up, I'm pressured to either keep my fully loaded Lariat order or go back to my original XL order.

I know exactly what I'm not getting and what I'm getting with each trim it's just convincing myself what I really want from this truck. It'll be my first truck.
Get what you'll enjoy the most. If it's going to be more than a weekend vehicle you use for projects around the house and use a car the rest of the week, then stick with the Lariat, or an XLT Lux. You'll appreciate (and so will your family) those creature comforts.

My dad owned the original Ranger. He bought it completely stripped, and loved it. He kept it til it was on it's last legs (my dad's 89 yrs old now) But he only drove it on the weekends for hauling brush, yard waste, trips to Lowes and Home Depot, etc. and he had a nice car he drove to all our family activities and work during the week.

I really like those Rims with the Rings... I agree about painting them black... I would paint the Rim and keep the center cap Silver with those Rings... POP!

This is just the ticket to take the steel wheels up a notch. If I ever get my XL Hybrid I'll definitely go with these.
