It's all about the XL! I always say, there are 3 things the Maverick got going for.

Hybrid fuel efficiency
Truck utility
Price

Wanting more outside those three, doesn't make any sense. Unfortunately I was seduced by other features that this truck offers.

With deadline coming up, I'm pressured to either keep my fully loaded Lariat order or go back to my original XL order.

I know exactly what I'm not getting and what I'm getting with each trim it's just convincing myself what I really want from this truck. It'll be my first truck.

As someone who has owned many trucks of various sizes and trim levels over my life, I must say the ones that grew on me were some of the more modest trucks that I got a lot of work done with.

There's something about moving through life and the associated projects and tasks that will get you close to the tools you accomplish life with. Trucks fall into that toolbox. Same goes for play. If you use it for enjoyable outdoor activities it will become a trusty and familiar partner as well.

None of this may be applicable to your situation, but I thought I would throw out my experiences.
Get the trim that gives you what you need but also one that you're not afraid to enjoy, like a pair of comfortable old jeans.
