Battery size

I have a 2024 Maverick hybrid I want to replace the battery in. Going with AGM. What group size is required? Want to buy at Costco but they don’t list a battery for the hybrid. TIA!

H4 group 140R / LN1 AGM

You need to pick your battery. H4 is the size that works. Don't tell them what kind of vehicle you drive. It doesn't show up in their computer. Just tell them you need an H4 AGM battery.

Hum, I was advised on one of tis forums posts to move up to an H5. So I did and haven't had any problems with the battery issues or with the install.

It appears to have a much larger footprint than the H4.
You didn't have to bend any tabs or make alterations to accommodate the bigger battery?

Also bigger battery really is not needed.

I started my Hybrid with a battery the size of a deck of cards.

For hybrids, amperage or amp-hours really don't matter.

What matters is VOLTAGE.

If you could buy or build a 14v battery (7 cells) it would probably last 10 years.
